It was a joy this week to welcome Fr Emmanuel Adeloye, formerly Archdeacon of Odo-Ona in Nigeria, who celebrated a lunchtime Mass.
Fr Emmanuel is no stranger to St Michael's, as his brother Anthony is Sacristan here, but Fr Emmanuel has returned to the UK and recently been granted permission to officiate in the Diocese.
He preached a wonderful homily about the cost of being a disciple of Jesus, and reminded us to be thankful for the freedom we have to worship the Lord here which is not the case in many countries round the world.
We look forward to welcoming Fr Emmanuel to St Michael's at some point in the near future, and are delighted that he shall be able to exercise a priestly ministry here.
