Thy Kingdom Come
The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have asked Christians to use the time between Ascension Day and Pentecost to pray for the coming of the Kingdom and the mission of the Church in this country. At St Michael’s we will take part in this initiative by keeping half an hour of silent adoration and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament each weekday at midday. Do come along and take part in this beautiful act of contemplative prayer.

Our New Curate
Philip Kennedy will be moving into the curate’s flat in early June, prior to his ordination on 1st July.  We are preparing a welcome hamper of food and drinks for him; please bring contributions to Church by next week.  And please remember Philip in your prayers as he is remembering us in his.

Regular Giving
We are all urged to commit to an increased level of planned, regular giving to support the fabric and ministry of St Michael’s.  Please consider prayerfully how much you are able to give, and complete one or more of the three forms at the back of the church:

  • Green: pledge the amount you will give regularly, to enable us to plan and budget our finances.
  • Yellow: set up a Standing Order from your bank account. This can also be done on-line. Offering envelopes are still available if you prefer.
  • Blue: if you are a UK taxpayer, increase your donation by 25% (at no extra cost to yourself) by signing a Gift Aid Declaration.

If you need any more information or help with the forms please speak to the Wardens (Ken and Gloria), Treasurer (Kevin) or Gift Aid Secretary (Chris).
The Bishop of Fulham will preside at a service of Confirmation on Sunday 19th November.  See Fr Tim if you wish to prepare for this sacrament.
