On the weekend of Christ the King Fr Philip and our Pastoral Assistants were on pilgrimage in Walsingham, as part of the Adoremus Young Adults’ Pilgrimage.
It was an excellent weekend of teaching, fellowship and prayer, ably led by Frs Grant Naylor, Edward Morrsion and Jack Noble, each of whom gave a teaching session during the course of the weekend. Subjects included prayer and our relationship with God; the Old Testament roots of the Eucharist; and Anglo-Catholic evangelism today.
The Adoremus pilgrimage was also a wonderful opportunity for young people from catholic parishes around the country to meet each other, and to pray and socialise together in England’s Nazareth.
We took part in the Shrine’s regular pilgrimage programme of devotions and services. It was particularly special to be at Mass in the Parish Church at Little Walsingham for the Feast of Christ the King, which included a procession of the Blessed Sacrament followed by Benediction.

This pilgrimage was our Pastoral Assistant Laurens’ first visit to Walsingham, about which he will write more at a later date.
Our thanks to Fr Kevin Smith, the Priest Administrator, for his warm welcome. He and all who minister at Walsingham are grateful for our regular prayers. We are pleased to offer the Mass at St Michael’s with a special intention for the Shrine at least once per month. Our Lady of Walsingham, pray for us.
